Here is my interpertation,
"Cancelled without Prejuidice" means that they have cancelled the visa as it is no longer needed as they have approved you for your Permanent Residence. It also means that if you do not keep your Permanent Residence (you mentioned conditional in your note - so I'm presuming marriage based GC?) then you will have no difficulties in ever getting another visa should you ever need one.
if a visa is cancelled WITH prejudice - then you would have had great difficulty in ever getting another US Visa.

I have my I-140 application (regular) still pending with USCIS when I got laid off. I don't stand a chance of asking my ex-employer to file a premium processing I-140, who has already agreed not to revoke anything.
Now I am looking for a new employer who will be willing to sponsor my H1B and GC. Has anybody experienced such a situation?
I am on my 9th year of H1B with PD Mar 2003 (EB3).

No it is normal. I also got AP same day, mine was going to expire 28-Aug. Same validity - 20 -may.
But I dont care, because for me only expense is photographs and mail charges. I filed under new fee structure.

We have the same notice date - 10/11 but my receipt date is 7/03. And I got my EAD on 10/26. They may be starting a system to process EAD/AP by receipt date. But still...who knows what they are doing it.

i am on h4 and this was the first time a company filed for my h1b. so would that be ok if company "B" files for my h1b with h1b filed with company "A" is pending with RFE.

I e-filed yesterday and the address came as USCIS Nebraska Service Center, as expected. My 485 is pending there and my previous EAD was also from NSC.
Where was your last EAD and 485 applied and processed at?

Has any one else experienced this? From the two posters above (which includes me) EAD and AP efiled applications went to National Benefits Center and generated the receipt numbers starting with MSC?
Please share your experience. Is there any thing to worry in this case?

Our AP saga got its final miracle today. (at least I think it’s the final one…) Though my spouse’s and daughter's AP were finally got approved yesterday, the miracle is that TSC has decided to expedite and overnight them, based on a fax from my father-in-law’s doctor.
The very nice lady IO at SF INS office this morning asked for our telephone numbers, and then followed up and called us on our cell phone to confirm that TSC is expediting the APS…..…and overnight-ing them!
Prior to this last miracle the journey was choppy.
We are to leave for India on Dec 26th... ..the APs were e-filed on July 12 to give TSC enough time.
Because nothing seemed to be happening I faxed TSC director (no use), another fax at TSC (not much use), made friends with a TSC rep...(great) got in touch with my Congressman George MIller's office..(fantastic), leading to the approval yesterday and then today comes the icing on the cake… the overnight-ing….
After a season of dryness, it doesn't just rain, it pours!
write to the ombudsman. So much circus for an AP? When you applied 5 months ago!!
oh, and congrats on getting your AP in time for your travel plans.

I know for a fact that you cannot count current employer exp for GC.
You can use experience with the same employer, but not in the same position as you note next.
If i start working for the same employer on 15-1031.00 Computer Software Engineers, Applications , is it more than 50% different in role so i can count my 3 years experience when applying my GC ??
Nobody could tell just by looking at the DOT job descriptions. Your actual job and duties are what is important, not any DOL codes or descriptions. if your duties in the 2 jobs are 50% different, you should be able to use the experience.

Can I file for a 1 year H1-B extension based on a pending I-140 even though the I-140 is pending for less than 365 days ?

My EAD expires on 07/28/2010. My EAD renewal is currently pending (applied online on 5/18/2010 at NSC). My AP expires on 08/24/2010. I am planning to apply for AP renewal once I finish my move to new address.
So, I really don't know which date to put. BTW, USCIS online application didn't mark that field as required.
Put the latest date ( AP ) . May be you can indicate that you are on AOS.
